1 Bedroom Cottages

Discover our four distinctive one-bedroom cottages, each uniquely named after our favorite barrel cooperages and designed to provide an intimate wine country retreat. These charming accommodations showcase the artistry of both winemaking and craftsmanship, with each cottage offering a spacious one-bedroom, one-bath layout complemented by a combined living and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Step out onto your private deck and be captivated by expansive views of lush vineyards and majestic mountains, creating a picturesque backdrop that invites relaxation and connection with the surrounding landscape. Named in tribute to the skilled artisans who craft the oak barrels essential to wine aging, these cottages offer guests a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich culture of winemaking while enjoying comfortable, thoughtfully designed accommodations that celebrate the beauty and tradition of vineyard living.

There are four vineyard cottages, each named for one of our favorite barrel cooperages.

coop ana (ahna)

We have used the Ana barrels for our Chardonnay. The Ana cottage is closest to the woods, so you can sit on the porch and admire the view while listening to the rushing of the nearby creek.

coop billon (bee-yon)

Named for one of our favorite cooperages, we use Billon French Oak barrels most recently our Sangiovese. They offer a light touch of oak while keeping the fresh, bright character of the grape. You'll feel refreshed and bright too in this cottage below our beautiful grand weeping cherry, with the deck looking straight out over the wildflower meadow and into the mountains beyond.

coop Cadus (kuhdoohs)

A barrel often used for Chardonnay, this one has a little heavier oak touch, giving the wine the perfect weight and texture. You'll take off the weight of the world as you snuggle into this cottage that has the best light and amazing views of all the vineyards, meadows, and mountains.

coop damy (dahmee)

This is a barrel that we have used for Pinot Noir. We are one of the few Virginia vineyards to grow this finicky grape. This cottage is closest to the vineyards, so your views of the property are unparalleled.
